Specificatiile tehnice, dupa cum corect spuneti, au o valoare mai mult orientativa, un punct de plecare. Pe mine m-au vrajit urmatoarele aspecte: boxe vintage de legenda.
Pregatindu-ma sa pun in functie sistemul audio, care, dupa venirea boxelor, va avea cap si coada (sursa de semnal, amplificator si boxe), am dus Marantz-ul (PM 84 mkII) la atelierul de reparatii pentru verificari si diverse lucrari de curatare si mentenanta. Am cerut o evaluare privind starea acestuia. La ridicare, electronistul mi-a zis ca amplificatorul se afla in stare excelenta, toate piesele sunt in foarte buna stare, pare ca nici nu a fost folosit foarte mult. Nu miroase a fum, nu este lovit, nu a fost reparat/"imbunatatit". Pe interior era curat, nu a necesitat operatiuni vaste de destelenire, doar o usoara indepartare a prafului. A apreciat calitatea pieselor dinauntru.
Astept cu nerabdare boxele si deja ma gandesc la un tuner radio si la un rack (am vazut cateva rack-uri vintage de firma - Panasonic, Philips etc).

Probabil a lasat amplificatoarele stereo deoparte si a trecut la mono blocuri .

Ken Ishiwata, legendary hi-fi figure, dies aged 72

Sad news reaches us today: Ken Ishiwata, legendary hi-fi personality and audio engineer, has died. Ishiwata died on 25th November, 2019, after an illness.

We suspect many readers would have come across Ken Ishiwata’s work, even if they might not know it. If you’ve ever heard or owned a Marantz product made any time in the last forty years then the chances are that he had a hand in it.

Over the years he became synonymous with the brand. His demonstrations at various hi-fi shows were legendary thanks to his eclectic choice of music and unusual but highly effective set-ups. His penchant for sharply cut and boldly coloured suits was also hard to miss.

Up until his recent departure from Marantz his job title was Brand Ambassador. What that rather vague title never made clear was the scale of the impact he had on the brand’s products and by extension the rest of the industry. He was the flag bearer for the brand for decades, working tirelessly to ensure that every new product measured up and displayed that distinctive Marantz-ness in its sound.

Buna seara ,sa mi-o iau si eu ,original ,am reusit sa iau un Marantz SR 9600 ,pachet complet la 180 euro,rar de gasit ,din 2005 ,inclusiv doua antene pentru radio ,baiu e, ca ce gesesc specificatii in engleza sunt,putine ,majoritatea in germana ,dar descrieri/teste/concluzii de la utilizatorii ,prea putine,nu am avut Marantz niciodata ,pe linga Denonul ce-l am acum ,va fi o curiozitate de cercetat ,care ce stie ,stie si cum .Va sunt recunoscator daca stiti mai multe ca mine si apreciez orce comentariu ca biinevenit,cum o fi bun sau nu .

Am omis ,neintentionat sa scriu ca inca nu a ajuns in tara ,este depozitat la o cunostinta din Linz ,care de alfel la si cumparat pentru mine.
Daca stie cineva ,ceva despre acest model ,va rog sa scrieti.
