Ministry of Sound began as the idea of Justin Berkmann. Inspired by New York's Paradise Garage - which he described as "an amazing club. It had lights, darkness, music, quiet – everything you wanted"[2] As opposed to striking a balance between the typical hallmarks of a live music venue, Ministry of Sound was conceived as an arena purely dedicated to sound. Berkmann stated: "My concept for Ministry was purely this: 100% sound system first, lights second, design third (in that order); the reverse of everyone else's idea."[3] According to him, they spent £500,000 on the club's sound system, and the same amount again on soundproofing the club using magnesite: they wanted to be able to turn the sound system up as loud as possible without disturbing the neighbours, and tested it to a volume of 156 decibels without the sound leaking outside. In addition to drawing inspiration from the Paradise Garage, the club borrowed the idea of using changing set designs from another New York City club, Area, with the first being based around Blade Runner, Berkmann's favourite film.[2]

In 2016, Ministry of Sound partnered with Dolby Laboratories to bring surround sound Dolby Atmos to the nightclub, a first in the industry.[10] The Box, Ministry of Sound's main room, now boasts a 64-speaker, 22-channel sound system, allowing the artists to control where certain sounds are sent across the space

Ideea de club/discoteca la primitivi este doar sa FIE TAREEE, sa le sparga capul la maimutoi! (ca nici daca strigi in urechea celuilalt nu te aude)

Nu stiu ce parere aveti despre recentul album "Oxymore" al lui Jean-Michel Jarre... dar pe mine m-a prins, imi place tare mult, desi este cam dark, cam ciudatel... Nu pot sa-l opresc, efectiv, il las sa curga pana la sfarsit... Cel de anul trecut, "Amazonia", nu s-a lipit de mine...de fapt, este doar o coloana sonora banala...dar "Oxymore" imi pare matur, sobru, vizionar:

L-am ascultat si eu, sincer....mi se pare cam aiureala...
Desigur, este pur parerea mea.
Oricum, am mai avut astfel de experiente cu JMR, dar unele albume, dupa o a doua/a treia auditie, am reusit sa le dau un sens....dar nu la toate. Gusturile nu se discuta!

Faina treaba. Ce nu inteleg deloc este motivul pentru care a intervenit cu vocea. Nu o gasesc deloc potrivita la genul asta de ''sound'', dar daca ea a vrut, ce sa mai si zici ca oricum e prea tarziu, inregistrarea e facuta asa cum este, nu altfel. Vocile feminine sunt potrivite la behaieli ritmate si nu se potrivesc oriunde. Parerea mea.
"Oxymore", nu ar fi un album rau, daca era lansat sub anonimat la raionul muzica tehno noua, facuta de ''nustiucine''. Nu este rau, dar nu are personalitate. "Amazonia", imi place dar nu il asociez deloc cu productiile lui J.M.Jarre.

Cine a mai fost aseara la DEPECHE MODE ?? (a fost fabulos, cred ca asta ramane cel mai bun concert din turneul lor actual! Furtuna cu ploaie torentiala, tunete si fulgere imense a facut spectacolul si mai extraordinar! Asa ceva apare numai pe noroc si rar! Publicul a fost fabulos, eu nu cred ca au avut sau vor avea un public mai tare ca aseara in tot turneul lor! - sigur la un moment dat vor spune ei despre concertul de la Bucuresti)
